Today while doing afternoon shopping just outside pick n pay in the Centurion Mall there is a big sign that says "Free stress test"
There is about 5 stations each with an assistant, Dynetics book prominently displayed and a medical type looking machine with 2 metal rods at each.
The metal rods looked like the weights on those old grandfather clocks and people were holding one in each hand while doing the stress test.
I assume those machines are those pseudoscience bio resonance machines.

I feel sorry for the people taking the stress as the people taking the tests were all old and probably never heard of Scientology or bioresonance before.

Thought about taking a photo but decided against it. Was a bit too WTF for me.

Haven't noticed it myself really. I'm also not in that part of the woods. What I do know, is that the scientology documentaries on the net indicate that it is a way used to convince u that you need further help. Thats where you start forking the moola out. But these are allegations. Haven't seem then here in PE.

I wonder who is paying for it. I am sure the mall charges them to be there and someone has to pay for those machines and the assistants manning them.

This is pretty common. This is how they recruit. Everyone fails the test.

Fellow scientologist's money funding it. Dno if there are other sources.

I took it in a mall a few years ago. They were selling a book that had something to do with Ron L. Hubbard.

This one supposedly had nothing to do with scientology

They were quite shocked I knew so much about it (thanks South Park :D)

I trolled the woman giving me the test and told her to her face what BS the whole thing was before I left.

Did they use an E-Meter? Or just a qanda? Either way, everyone will show "stress". Sign up to improve your life and watch your bank balance reduce faster than your "stress level". (I'm a thetan clear, so don't bother.)

They used an E-meter on me. I showed "stress" after every question even if it was not applicable to me or was about something that didn't bother me that much.

Its complete bollocks from start to finish.

You fail the test, they offer a free session or something, but its not enough to "fix" you, and then you have to start paying and believing.

I've also noticed this everywhere. Tried it out for the hell of it (after telling my gfto run because the religion nazis are coming to get us). The lady was very surprised to see how stressed i wasn't.

That silly stress meter just increases its reading the tighter you grip the conductors. Nothing scientific about that if you ask me.

I think there's a Scientology centre in Westbourne Road.

If you want a real WTF-moment, ask them if they're a cult. You don't even have to make any accusations, just mention the word. Then sit back, relax and watch them go ape-****.

Yeah, that always gets the best kind of reaction from them.

Then their machine was broken or your friend is dead. The e-meters simply measure electrical conduction across your skin...

Next get him to lie through his teeth on a Polygraph test and watch that needle. See how much of a freak of nature he is.
