So what's yours?....

I'm planning on buying having two cars. a smaller car and a bigger car. Then save at least R5k every month...

My financial strategy is to keep my job, finish this thing I'm studying and then to get a higher paying job.

Become self-reliant with key clientele bringing in a decent income each month excluding my own income I make via my own projects

Buying a car has never been a "financial strategy" IMO. I would say buy 1 car that will be almost big and almost smallish. Save another R5k that you would have spent on the 2nd car.

Unless if you are rich...

Speak to a financial advisor so that my excess cash is doing something for me rather than sitting around lazily in the bank :)

Oh, and I plan to feel guilty about renting instead of paying off my own bond; look around at house prices; look at what size bond I qualify for; and then put off feeling guilty for another year.

I plan to change jobs ASAP and do something better and save every cent I can.
Move out and in with GF when she gets back from Germany.
If I get my job that I want, I plan to make a huge success of it!

The rest will follow...

  • Settle unnecessary accounts ( have only 1 left so far)
  • Move debit orders to credit card to save on debit order charges; then pay one lump sum amount to credit card every month resulting in a considerable cost-saving on bank charges
  • Invest savings; a brokerage did a presentation to me on share-trading, so I'm considering going that route with the savings

Nope, I aim to earn more than I spend. It is my financial aim for this year. Exactly how I'm going to do it is quite an unknown.
