What so you do to kill the time during load shedding? Personally I feel I'm too reliant of technology, sure I can manage 2.5 hours using on my devices battery but when stage 5 and above hits that solution is not going to cut it.

I cut some of my fruit trees down to size yesterday.
Threw some rubble into the bin the day before.

It is bringing out the DIY in me.

Depends on time of day. Last night we were scheduled from 20h00 to 22h00 and there was lightning but no rain so I decided to head into the yard to play with the camera. Electricity returned earlier than scheduled but I got good photos nonetheless. Normally I either watch some shows on my laptop or play board games with anybody willing.

If loadshedding hits during the day on the weekends I don't even know about it as I am either in the mountains hiking or at a campsite (And I refuse to camp at campsites that have electricity).
Have not spent a single weekend this year at home
