Popular messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to continue listening to a voice note after leaving a chat.

WABetaInfo has discovered the feature — dubbed global voice message player — is currently under development for the beta version of WhatsApp on iOS.

Seriously good idea. Also block any single-word messages so no-one sends me “Hi” or “Hello” and tries to force me into a chat instead of just sending a single message saying what they have to say.

yeah, I hate not being able to just peek at the message from the notifications bar to decide whether I want to open it.

It's almost as bad as people who first ask you "are you busy this weekend", you just fkn know they are gonna ask you to help them move or some shyte.
