Whatsapp messages not going through

Hi there. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 on MTN. lately it has the annoying tendancy to not send or receive whatsapp messages for hours on end. Sometimes if I open whatsapp a flood of messages will come through and mine will finally send. Or I'll look and messages havent sent for over an hour. I disconnect data then reconnect and things flow again. Any fix to this?

I think everyone is sitting with this issue. Seems their network is just as congested as everyone else...

Same here, Lumia with Vodacom... so it has nothing to do with the hardware / OS or service provider. I'm hearing a few people comment the same... all with different devices and service providers so it has to be on the Whatsapp side.
