Amazing how blackberry went from the in phone @R60pm for "uncapped" to being ditched by everyone.

Cheaper, better smartphones killed BlackBerry.

Also many network providers provide free WhatsApp and social media browsing. Never mind the mobile data price drops over the past few years.

No. I know with Android if you're 2 0r 3 versions behind. They'll force you to update, and won't be able to use WhatsApp.

Or just use the android version.

What does exactly does "not supported" mean? No updates and new versions? No tech support?

Surely the existing version will continue to work indefinitely?

According to what I have read at the crackberry forums. After the 31st/12/16 whatsapp will no longer be working. And the android version does work but not all functions.

Wrong. You have to install Google Play services first, then download the android version from the play store, and run WAA fixer.

Everything works incl media files on my BB Classic.
