WhatsApp, YouTube, and BitTorrent rule the Internet in Africa

Gotto love that Windows Update gets a section of its own haha..wait.. where is 'Adobe Updates' :p

Curious to see where they are getting their stats from?

Edit: According to their site they have their kit deployed to 35 networks across the whole of Africa so their reports hardly reflect anything considering the piss small amount of data they have access to. Vox is one of their flagship clients. Anyone know if Vox's t's and c's mention them giving away information about what you do on their network?

Fixed broadband use
Real-time entertainment is the leading source of traffic, accounting for almost 30% peak downstream
Well in the US, real-time entertainment (video/audio streaming) account for 70%

If only ADSL was faster, cheaper and we had netflix...

Internet traffic share isn't complete without mentioning PornHub....
