With Brett Lee and Shaoib Aktar no longer dominating fast bowling, when last was a ball bowled in excess of 155km/h.

I see Mohammed Afran from Pakistan gets regular speeds of 147km/h, but very few hit the 150+ speeds.

Would be great to hear if anyone has seen these speeds and let us know.

Cheers

Marchant De Lange was bowling insanely quickly in a recent Supersport game, but because Supersport are such cheap bastards, they refused to use any technology in any of the games, so we can't tell exactly how quickly he was bowling. But it was super fast!

Last time I saw 150+ was Steyn last year who hit it once or twice. He was hitting 147km/hr today as well. Mitchell Johnson is still really quick, and he was hitting high 140s in the last match against India...

Not to paint everyone with the same brush, but it would appear that at least in some cases steroids (and possibly other drugs) were used to achieve these - what now seem to be impossible - events.

Also don't forget Shaun Taite - also used to get regular speeds in excess of 150km/h

Ja, I think that Marchant de Lange is probably our fastest bowler in SA atm

I don't think Brett Lee is chucking here. A pretty quick over.

Morkel just hit 149.6km/hr in his first over of the second innings against the Pakistanis. He's looking fired up today...

Shane Bond had problems with his back, so never got a good three or four seasons uninjured :(

He would be an ATG if it wasn't for injuries. Truly wonderfully blessed bowler. Injuries screwed him up.

I remember seeing Johnson bowling really quick. I think he broke the 150 barrier.

Bond was brilliant but due to the injuries he just never got to play as many tests :(
