When to expect the Huawei P40 Series in South Africa

Huawei has outlined when it expects to launch its new flagship smartphones in South Africa, stating that this depends on the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The company today revealed its new P40 Series smartphones, comprising the P40 Lite, P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+.

Good for Huawei, who was the main developer of 5G, it's kind of expected.

Jamie, Please research and write about availability of apps that are relevant to South Africa in the Huawei P40 app gallery. For example, will South African banks banking apps be available? Without google maps what app is there for navigation?

I would gladly replace my S9 with the P40 because pricing is reasonable for a 5G device if it wasn't for the lack of GMS. Great specs and future proof because it has 5G by default and support both NSA and SA 5G. Guess I will have to wait and see who wins the race for me. I am getting the P40 if GMS returns or else the S20 from Samsung if they start selling the 5G version here before GMS returns to Huawei
