My last speeding fine was in 2018 at the Huguenot tunnel on my way to take part in the Cape Town Cycle Tour. To this day I still think that one was incorrectly issued, I drove with a Garmin GPS and cruise control active.

That one brought my total speeding fines to 5 since I started driving in 1980.

The only fine I ever got was issued showing the time of the infringement as 00:00 and they could not supply me with the Photo evidence, so they dropped the charge.

I have had two fines since 1985.

One was for speeding (10km over).

2019/2020, unsure exactly when, but it was the car in the other lane overtaking, took over 8 months to get them to drop it.
Otherwise, haven't received a speeding fine that I've ever needed to pay (only fine ever paid was forgot to renew car license the first time).

Had a sneaky speed limit change in my area from 80 to 60 that I didn't notice. Over a 2 week period I got a string of fines until I could figure out the where at what of it. Before that, years ago.

2014 and I was an idiot by driving past a fixed speed camera that I knew was there....

The cops put mobile speed cameras in predictable locations so it's generally easy to avoid them in your local area
