Endgame. on release weekend.
that ended the Marvel Universe, and ended my desire to be in a cinema. I would much rather sit comfy at home where I can pause to go to the bathroom or get more snacks, have a vape or more importantly change what I am watching mid way if it turns out its a stupid crock like most of what has come out in the past 12 or so years has been.
I think since The Dark Knight there has been maybe 25 movies that have been worth paying the price of seeing a movie in cinema. everything else has been a lazy remake or nostalgia bait.
Maveric, Ghost Busters, Jurrasic Park, all the new star wars movies, any marvel movie after end game. nothing new or original just trying to cash in on memories of good movies. and even when they are done "well" like Maveric its still just lazy writing with nothing new the story is so predictable you can say exactly what will happen if you saw the original and look at the poster.
Who knows maybe this has always been the case and I only became aware of it around 2008.
