When will RPM be meeting with SNO...?

I post this as a prompt to anyone involved with the SNO, who may be reading these forums, to start discussions with RPM and this forum. What better PR than to engage with us and give us a small taste of what they may be offering, and to get some idea of what our needs are. I am not saying they should give away any secrets, just start the discussion.

The SNO already has a loyal following in this forum ( due to the hate for Telkom) and they have not even started operating yet! Why not take advantage of this?

absolutely - would be a very smart move

myadsl has as membership a majority of the tech-minded and tech-interested people in SA - it is a wonderful way to test products and services and market reaction to them;

and you will get lots of excellent feedback, straight-shooting and at least three different versions of the truth :)

IMHO we are still a minority here as far as telkom's income goes, yes we might make a ripple but even big news fades away. If this forum had the MD's of the biggest 100 businesses in the country then maybe we would have a chance, otherwise I'm sure telkom just writes us off as an annoyance and occasionally throws us a bone to shut us up.

I think the point is that we ARE 'tech-minded and tech-interested' people.

I don't know about you guys, but my whole familiy see me as the 'technical guy' and I therefore am always having to give my opinion on everything from video machines to computers and ISP's.

Just the other day my sister asked me which broadband offering she should use (she went with iBurst).

The point is, we may only be about 5000, but our influence is far far greater than that.

Hi Blobnow

Not that easy for these companies to simply dismiss us. We now have around 100 000 unique visitors per month, and many newbies come here to make up their mind about broadband services. We are also often asked for comment by the media, and often speak on radio shows and even a TV show or two. We are also organizing a public lecture on broadband, a conference is in the pipeline etc. Too much to just ignore :D

Regards,

RPM

as a business owner trying to market a service or product the most important information i can gather is the conversations that users and potential users of my product/service are having about the product/service ....what is the market saying

now a lot of companies pay exorbitant sums of money to get hold of this info while myadsl offers it as a free service to the telecomms industry...

Remember that MD's have to listen to their technical advisors.

Who says that MD's from large companies don't read this forum, or are members? RPM & the rest have managed to get a lot of good press, and I am sure people including large companies and their MD's that are even closely related to any tech business, are paying attention to this forum! Don't write your opinion off so quickly!
