Where can I buy a replacement power supply for my Huawei B593 Router?

As per the thread title.

After some heavy lightning, the power supply got fried. Would like to get a new one, but have no idea who sells this on its own.

Any help will be appreciated.

Yikes turns out it's a 1A power supply in my B593, but anyway, I plugged a spare 2A one I have here and it works fine.

Yeah, I see it is. I took specs off the interwebs, but the actual power supply says 12V

It's a 12V 1A power supply.
But where can I buy a spare one?

The router is fine, it's the power supply that got fried.

Anything 12v > 1A is fine.
Eg 12v 1A, 12v 2A, etc


Don't buy a cheap multi voltage PSU, those are typically unregulated crap.

If the spare 12/ 2A one you have fits and works, just use that...

I thought as much, but quality is my main concern. Don't really want to run the router off a no-name power supply.

Shame you're not in Cape Town, I literally have a largish box of spare power supplies i shipped over from my office in Shanghai one year, could have given you one.

12v/1A is pretty common though, I'm sure you'll find something else in the house.

You can also try Communica, ManTech or a similar supplier. CCTV voltages are the same, so any CCTV supplier will typically have PSU's for sale.

Something like this one (12V/1A) or this one (12V/2A) from Communica will do nicely.

These PSUs will come pre-fitted with a particular size of concentric circular connector on the output lead. Be aware that there are many different sizes of these connectors, sometimes with small differences in the centre hole diameter. If the connector fits into the socket but doesn't work, it's usually because the centre hole is too big to make contact with the centre pin of the B593. But there is some degree of standardisation, so you will often get lucky.
