Where can I find a Super Nintendo console these days?

Morning everyone,

So I woke up today and felt very nostalgic to play some old school Nintendo games like Tetris, Super Mario, Mappy, etc.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out as to where I can find the old Nintendo (tv games as I used to call them) or Super Nintendo consoles for sale and a few games? Any websites or local shops would be greatly appreciated! I tried Bid or buy and Gumtree but it didn't turn up much. Also, I don't have an Android phone so downloading the emulator is also not an option.

Thanks in advance!

You don't have a PC/laptop? Emulators aren't confined to Android phones.

I do have both a PC and laptop, but I want the old school feel of the controller and the cartridges :)

I think Mappy and Super Mario were titles primarily on the NES, not SNES.

Most Chinese shops carry clones of the NES with cartridges & the Zapper gun. They are of poor quality and don't last long but are cheap - if you pay more than R100 for the system, controllers, Zapper and game (9999999999-in-1 :D), you are being done-in.

Otherwise, download an emulator (I personally use NESTopia) and get ROM's from here: http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/nes.html

Awesome thanks! Now I just need to find a Chinese shop in my area (Edenvale) or take a trip to the China mall. If all else fails the emulators will have to do.

Cartridge I don't know, but a dual stick Logitech controller feels pretty good. And the graphics can be improved a lot from the original as well.

OR... get a Wii and a Classic Controller and buy them in the Wii store.

I've seen them around at fleamarkets and what not, but one question, are you perhaps entering mid life crisis? :p hehe
