Where can i get this cable? USB 3.0 A Male to Micro B Y Cable

Anybody know where i can get this specific cable, my hard drive cable is damaged for my External 1tb Usb 3.0 drive, and i need to replace it.

I've already purchased a 1.5m cable from Matrix and it does not work, so i logged a ticket with Verbatim and they told me to get it from Ebay, but im not really keen on that, so i found this site that has it (Just waiting for the pricing) but even that, im not very keen on.

I would like a shop that i can go and get it from, i've looked on AvSupply, but this seems to be the shortest 1 on the site and i cannot find 1 with the extra for power.

@AVSupply , would you maybe confirm if you have that specific cable (this 1) so that i can order everything in 1 order?

Never really looked, but in the mean time if you have a Micro USB (the one to connect Android / nokia or Blackberry) that can work.
It just will run at USB 2 Speed not 3. It fits in the right hand side Pin
I have tested on my WD HDD it works

This is the cable i've already purchased from Matrix, but it is too long, and doesn't work, i think its about 3m, and they dont have a shorter 1.

I see this 1 on AVSupply but im not sure if it will work, i dont want to purchase another 1 without being certain that it will work.

This is the external drive by the way.

Im specifically looking for 1 with the 2 usb's for Power or an extremely short 1 (just long enough though) and USB 3.0, reason for that is, Verbatim tech specifically said the longer cables dont work with the specific drive i have, or i should get 1 that has another USB for power. Do you have of those?

And what does it cost?

I've requested info on the Cable from them now (this 1), hoping if they have it i can go pick it up on Friday afternoon.

Hi 69Joka69,

We don't stock that type of cable but might be able to get one for you, I'll confirm soon

A good test to see if it will work with a single USB3.0 cable, is to plug in a normal Micro USB cable, see attached pic, they use the same connector

Use the shortest cable you can find, the longer it is the more current it will lose resulting in the hard drive not spinning up.
So if the old one was 15cm don't go get a 1M one. Non external power USB only Hard drives are extremely temperamental in regards to the current they need. The Y cable has an extra USB connector specifically to provide extra current to the disk. If it has only one USB connector do not get a cable any distance longer than the old one.

OH NICE!! Thanks Isie! I'm going to have a look tonight and see if the cable i have will work because i really need something off it urgently, so this as an interim will be awesome!
