I saw something quite disgusting a few days ago while my food was being prepared and I immediately had my order refunded.

Absolutely disgusting.

I would like to report them if possible, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Edit: This was at at The Burger King at Rosebank

Your local municipality. They're the ones responsible for health standards and issuing food establishments with a certificate of acceptability.

I don't know where to report it.

If it's a franchise you could report to head office.

That happened to me once, the place i had ordered take away from was quite empty and staff were standing around watching a soccer game on TV. One of them had not one, but two fingers up his nose

The owner was horrified when we reported it and offered a free meal for 4 but I never went back. He said the particular man did not work in the kitchen.

True but I've never seen a restaurant where the till is next to or close to the kitchen...
Heavy-handed with the assumptions today huh?
Maybe just ask OP for details on what exactly happened?
Who says the till was next to the kitchen?
Maybe they walked to the bathroom passing the kitchen, or walked around the restaurant, or the kitchen was visible from the till or maybe it was just a straight up takeaway place.

Good luck finding someone to report it to, last time I tried all the health inspectors had basically been done away with.

It was at a burger king at Rosebank, The Zone. I suppose that's not really a restaurant though.

The women stuck her finger in her mouth to grip the papers they use then she made the food after that I received my order and I was quite astounded so I just got my re fund, whilst I was getting my refund I noticed her cleaning up and what not, and I just assume she was making food after that without washing her hands for other people.

Anyway thanks for the info I will be contacting the head office and I'll see if I can get in touch with a municipality or something.

I honestly have been reluctant to eat any food, but food that I prepare and cook myself, now my fears and what I thought was paranoia has been proven right.

Nothing like a little extra bacteria to spice up a meal :p

How do you like a lady tearing a milk sachet open with her teeth to make a milkshake.

Reported it to the franchise head office who got the regional manager to phone me. He couldn't have cared less.
