Are you guys wrestling in your shirts?
My mrp.com shirts are absolutely fine. Even with regular use
Is your washing machine not wrecking the clothes?

I can't even remember how long ago I bought it. Did the order online since I know my fit size.

Maybe we have different standards but I've never had a MrP tee last very long before looking sht, normally the neck fabric gives out or the body gets some weird elongation in some direction.

I need to use these tees for work so they need to look reasonably sharp.

I don't mind paying up to R250 for a high quality plain tee but it must last for years and look good from new till the day something snags on it and makes a hole that grows too large to be unnoticeable. And during that time the neck must remain perfect.

Country Road sometimes has some nice plain tees buy the last few times I looked they didn't have just plain normal ones.

You often find the quality you want but then the fit will be wrong, like perfect but ridiculous mini sleeves made for jocks to show off their steroid growths.

It's a mine field finding the one.

If I had more cash, I would buy higher quality too. I have no brand/logo clothes, except for jackets.
I don't think it's an issue of standards however. My mrp clothes look fine, no effects as you described. Even button shirts and chinos still look great.

You could buy a high quality 300gsm T-shirt, but damage it by not washing it correctly.

First mistake almost everyone makes, is adding fabric softener to wash clothes.

I buy the ones from Woolies, slim fit round neck, or vneck if you wish.

R130 each or R200 for 2. Better quality year on year with their stay new technology.

But there's also currently a special at country road, instead of R350 their plain T is now R199. Top quality cotton...

I'd also recommend HM for their 'premium cotton' range. The plain Tees have premium cotton on the tag. Plain. And also top quality.

My wardrobe is only plain Tees. White, Grey, black and Navy

Agreed, but hard water and static are real problems in JHB.

Why? It's smart casual. They fit with my build...
Modern Chinos are great, no grandpa styles anymore, slim fit, stretch, win.

I use them like jeans, worn with tee's and not tucked in, just because the cut also fits me, I don't have any particular preference for them.

I don't have grandpa style chinos, but they aren't stretch or slim either.
Slim fit/stretch only works for me when I wear jeans.
