Is there a problem with the local debian mirrors?

Code:
apt-get update
.
.
.
E: Release file expired, ignoring http://debian.mirror.ac.za/debian/dists/squeeze-updates/Release (invalid since 5d 5h 48min 27s)

Changed to the uk repos and that works fine???

No reason to use locally hosted content if you have uncapped.

Often it's faster to download from the mirror server. On internationals I seem to struggle to get above 350. The mirror archive 420+ is standard. So I have the local mirror and an international one setup. Best of both worlds if the local one is not synced yet.

But yeah the debian mirror is down again.

Been having endless issues with the upstream server that we fetch updates from. Have switched to a different server and with a little luck we'll be back online by the morning :)
