Remember a generator for loadshedding.. my ups ain't gonna power my hammer drill.. maybe yours, if you bring it, since it's much smaller than mine..Yes, but I have a daughter who attends school in the cbd... so northern wont see right now.
Also since you made it about me lol, most of my sites are in the southern suburbs. Right now its actually perfect for me as I go in the opposite direction of traffic when I head to or from your places.
Off topic: I'm coming to your place with a charger connected to me tomorrow lol

Damn loadshedding, completely forgot about this crazy normal we haveRemember a generator for loadshedding.. my ups ain't gonna power my hammer drill.. maybe yours, if you bring it, since it's much smaller than mine..![]()
Also regarding traffic, once covid is over and we return to office, I find the SS M3 traffic much more bearable than the N1 disaster. It's still no joke but I have done both and the N1 is painful.
I'm partially remote and work very flexible hours so I should be able to drive out of rush hour most of the time.
This, n1 traffic is the worst! Personally would love to buy a property in the northern suburbs but that n1 traffic is what puts me off.

Commuting from far north to town is brutal. Between one and two hours at a time. I wouldn't recommend it.

Don't mind them.. you know how the southerners try and justify their tiny and expensive homes using n1 traffic..
Every few months I have a look at property in the southern suburbs but then I visit family that side and glad to be out in Somerset West. I leave home at 8:45 and get to the office in Woodstock at 9:15 on most days.Don't mind them.. you know how the southerners try and justify their tiny and expensive homes using n1 traffic..
They also seem to struggle with reading comprehension...Don't mind them.. you know how the southerners try and justify their tiny and expensive homes using n1 traffic..

For 3.5M he can get a 1000m2 place in Bergvliet or Meadowridge.Don't mind them.. you know how the southerners try and justify their tiny and expensive homes using n1 traffic..
And once the R300 extension to the N7 is complete it will alleviate a lot more pressure on the N1.The new R300 turn off is helping quite bit for that area.
That's what everyone says with each new extension. We will see if it actually happens that way.And once the R300 extension to the N7 is complete it will alleviate a lot more pressure on the N1.
Hi all,
I'm thinking about purchasing a home in the next few months around the Cape Town area. I'd prefer to be about 20 (without traffic) minutes from Town as that's where I'll be working. I'm partially remote and work very flexible hours so I should be able to drive out of rush hour most of the time.
I currently live in Vredehoek in a flat that I rent but would like something bigger and I'm willing to drive a bit to get something bigger. My budget is around R3.5mil and I'm looking for a 3 bed.
I'm currently considering Royal Ascot / Milnerton Ridge - does anyone have experience with these areas? I've also looked at the Southern Suburbs but the places going for R3.5mil look a bit shabby.
