Hi guys, need a bit of urgent help. Does anybody know where I can find a step-down to 100V transformer in the Jhb area?

Thanks :)

It's a Japanese appliance that uses 100V (I think that the USA uses 110V). One of the other appliances I bought has a range of 100V-240V so I didn't really bother checking for a transformer there. However when I got home and opened the other box, I see that it only works on 100V AC or 7.5V DC :(

You can try the Airport shops for those universal adapter thingies. (Don't know what they are called)

I bought one a few years ago from an electrical shop in Blairgowrie shopping center, by the spar there.

Cool thanks, I'll make a trip there tomorrow and have a look. Any idea if the shop is still operational?

You'll be able to use 110V. Builder's warehouse, hirsch, game etc. should be able to supply standard 200W 220-110V step down.
