Where to get a Tripod mount adapter for Smartphone in South Africa?

I've been looking for an adapter to mount my iPhone 6S on Velbron Tripod that I typically use with camcorders and point and shoot \ ultra zoom \ dslr cameras. Obviously the shoe that comes with the tripod fits just about every normal camera and camcorder, but it seems most tech and photography shops in SA don't have any kind of adapter that allows you to mount a smartphone on the tripod. It would be pretty handy for video recording and time lapse photography.

I was looking at my wifes selfie stick the other day looks like that screw is the same as the screw on the tripod plate its just an idea haven't had a chance to check if it is.

I can confirm 100% have used the selfie mont on my tripod to do very good panorama images ! It is fond on the high end selfie sticks though

I went the selfie stick route and while it works, it's a pain - I would not recommend it. Mounting it one way will randomly push the side buttons, mounting it the other way will block off the headphone jack (I used the headphones to trigger). I actually just stopped using it altogether.

You can get the 2 parts(cell phone tripod mount apadtor and hotshoe mount adaptor) for R35 from eBay, very good quality. The cell phone adaptor on its own is R15 incl shipping.

That triggertrap part is a monumental rip off!!
