Where will i see the differance??

Morning all

I have two accounts one with Mweb which I assume is a shaped account and one with Web Africa which is an unshaped account.

I have played BF2 on both accounts and the mweb ping is +- 400 and web Africa is +-280. Both are playable. Torrents as well no real speed increases there as well, so I was wondering where will I see the real benefits of an unshaped account??

Unspahed only affects international traffic, so if you play BF2 on Saix you will not see any difference. Also, for international, you will see the biggest effect at the beginning and end of month when people are burning their CAP's.
 
If this is the case then I will have no benefit from an unshaped account. Then I just wonder why everyone on this forum is so angry at Telkom for shaping?? It is all the same for me then.

Basically, everybody that does anything other than browsing on international sites are unhappy with shaping. And personally I think it is evil to give people who pay the same for the same bandwidth different priorities.
 
I challenge bellou to a game of BZFlag on bzflag.gamesunited.de any time on a shaped account.
Oops - you'll never be able to play that game on a shaped account overseas.
After office hours, then, on an UNSHAPED account, yes, then you'll be able to play.

OK I will check it between the two accounts and see.
 
I have seen the difference this weekend. Downloaded something using DC++ from a hub in the UK.

So yes my eyes have opened and I can SEEEEE!!!!!

At least he plays D&D games :D so he can vent that way and kill a few mobs
