I'd be largely wary of WeBuyCars, and another other place that operates the same way they do... it would have to be a ridiculously good deal for me to consider WBC.

When I was last looking for a car Gumtree and FB marketplace were the best bets.

Second hand Japanese vehicles are reasonably priced and even the older ones have to meet import criteria.

Last 4/7 cars I've bought have been on autotrader.
2/7 have been on gumtree but both directly from the owner. There can be some great "specials" to be had on gumtree so long as you have a fair idea for what you're looking for in any specific model.
1/7 new direct from a dealer. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
