On the scumtech board it says <i>"
In order for the end user to be able to derive full benefit from this upgrade it is essential that the modem software be upgraded to the version 5.0.1.62 as well. "</i>

where is it? phoned helldesk and no help there, modem dialer only wants to download 5.0.1.40 from a directory that cant be found

[:(]

hrm... also cant get it... you might wanna dig around their ftp directory manually...
let me look...

cool got them.... the idiots are not catering for people who have upgraded to 5.0.1.60 so what happens is your automatic upgrade thingy looks for a directory called 5.0.1.60 to find the latest upgrade...
why I dont know... but I got them...

You can get them from here:
http://www.i-on.co.za/downloads/ipwp1c5.0.1.62.zip

please dont ask me how to install n that... I am sure someone here might know and shed light.
The zip folder contains two files I got from Sentech ftp.

Thanks vowthorn.

1. Download the zip file, and then run the executable file. (Ignore the other file)
2. Using the the Sentech Dialer, and "Tools" tab, click on Upgrade.
3. Wait for it to install.
4. Once complete, delete the 5.0.1.62.ipw file in the following directory:
Program Files\IPWireles..\IpWireless PC Software\Upgrade
5. The modem will reboot... and you can continue to login as usual.

PPPoE users must first login with their USB cable. This to
ensure that the username and password is correctly stored in the modem.
(The upgrade would have cleared all previous username and password data)

The download is available IF you use their dialler software.
Go to tools and click upgrade.

I've also placed it on a server I have: http://196.7.216.140/

Yip. Process should be the same...executing the exe, go into the dialer and hit "upgrade. Should be links around to the previous version(s)
http://www.myadsl.co.za/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3292 should be a start, but I think Pro's homepage has changed
