everybody knows Toyota is the most reliable , even the german fanboys know this.
everybody with a working braincell, knows all of this, problem is People who think BMW is better because its expensive.
I guess brand perception is everything.

There's no way VW is more reliable than Honda, Hyundai or Suzuki.

Yep, the JP Power survey has shown of late that the old reliables are moving down and some new brands are on the rise. Still, having had a lot of exposure to both VW and Honda, I still find it astonishing that VW is perceived higher than Honda. Always had so many issues with a long string of VW's my did insisted on purchasing. Honda has never given me any trouble. I have looked at Hyndai and Kia which now sit either at the top or close to the top of the powers survey but for the same price they gave a lot less features when I did my shopping around.

Talk about perceptions :whistling:

Buy the car brand you want. At the end of the day you could get a dream or a lemon irrespective of brand

Some perceptions are more informed than others.

The probability of finding a lemon is greatly enhanced when looking at a brand that has a rich history of producing lemons.

I think whoever participated in the survey were not really people who are into cars, because all I see is a pupularity contest more than anything about reliability, Toyota just happens to be popular and reliable.

Even die hard VW fans will never insist it is a reliable car.

I voted Toyota here. This was the only question I remember not having to think about the answer.
