Hi guys

Sorry if this is like a obvious question but I'm a complete idiot when it comes toi this department. I was wondering what connection would be best for me?

What I need:
Cap is not a issue because I don't really dl only view websites (1GB is more that enough). Speed is only an issue because I want to play games online like Counter strike and warcraft (192k/384k/512k???).

The price is also an issue, I want to try and get by below R600 with EVERYTHING included.

Thnx in advance.
Moo!

I would go for Telkom ADSL with Telkom ISP at 384 or 512, all your bills are in one, quite handy. You get 3 Gig, 1 Gig is a bit low.

The speed difference between 384 and 512 is hardly noticable, and 4 people playing CS on a 384 is perfectly fine.

Although if you want to keep it below R600 you should either share an ADSL connection wirelessly with mates, or use ISDN. The link in my sig has a graph of whats available, base prices.. the cheapest ADSL is HomeDSL192 with a 2GB cap for R622.

Also remember that the ADSL line rental does not include the voice line rental (R76-36 exclusive).

Moo, how much do you want to play online? Because gaming eats away at your cap.
I play BF1942. My usage is about 110Mb - 130Mb per day I play (about 2-3hours online) With 1 Gig you will be able to play about 7 days before your Cap.

I have ADSL 192(R330) and gaming speeds are great. if you go for the bigger brothers, you won't get close to R600 total.
Then I have the Adept 2Gig account that does not cut off after the cap (R188), but international is useless just like 3Gig.
Then you have your Telkom phone rental (R87).

Total is R605 which is quite low.
