Which Health Apps are you using on a regular basis and what are your experiences?

I'm looking to improve my health and habits, so would be interesting to hear what other people are using app wise. :)

I just use the Health apps on the iPhone / Apple Watch. They give frequent reminders about things and track my sleep, exercise etc fairly well.

Not sure how into exercise and whatnot you are, but I've found they work well enough for my minimal needs.

It depends on what you want to get out of it.

Do you want to track your exercise and calorie consumption, or do you want to be reminded to get up and walk or drink water or poop?

Garmin connect but if you have a device, use the app linked to your wearable.

  • For general use, the default health and workouts app on Apple Watch...
  • For weights and other training at home - Dumbbells and Nike Training
  • For running, I prefer Nike Run Club but I also sometimes use STRAVA because it connects to a bunch of other apps and services where you can upload your runs for virtual races and so on.
  • For sleep tracking, Autosleep - but I haven't bothered with sleep tracking for the past few months.
  • For calorie counting \ tracking - Fatsecret.

Calorie tracking - Myfitnesspal. Its free and it contains alot of SA products, Most just by scanning a barcode
Steps and sleep - Huawei health, I have a GT2e watch and it does all that I need
Steps - Googlefit ,track steps, I initially installed it so that Myfitnesspal could talk to my watch, but somehow i managed to get Myfitnesspal and my watch to talk

I have actually been using Samsung Health. I cant speak of its accuracy, but works well to keep track be consistent for workouts.
Used to use FatSecret for Calories, but now, Samsung Health. It seems to have the same food South Africa stuff as well.
I am tracking without a wrist device just using it more of a guide on my phone.
