Need some advise please, struggling to figure out which monitor to buy for myself.

I have a 2015 Macbook Pro 15 inch, looking at getting a Samsung C32JG50 32 , will this monitor be a good option or do I need 4k for text clarity?

I use the machine mainly for development and use Parallels for Windows to develop.

I did purchase a Dell FHD LED but sent it back as everything was very blurry.

My mac shows 15.4-inch (2880 x 1800) under display properties.

That Samsung C32JG50 32 is a gaming monitor, using a VA panel and has 144hz response time, so its optimized for gaming. Why not go for an IPS panel instead? The clarity is higher. I'll leave it to others to recommend something more fitting but I would look at something like this instead: https://www.takealot.com/viewsonic-vx3276-2k-mhd-32-wqhd-1440p-entertainment-monitor/PLID61016560

Thanks, does it matter that the MacBook is 2880 x 1800 and the monitor is only 2560 x 1440, dont want to loose the quality I currently have.

Looks really nice, unfortunately out of price range.

Looking to spend max 8k.

If that’s a hard limit, then it is what it is of course. I’ve always taken the approach of “no budget” specifically with monitors, since it’s what I stare at most of the day, and the productivity gain over years is a no-brainer. Remember that it will probably outlast your next 2-3 laptops! :)

Funnily enough, for me I work almost exclusively in a full screen putty terminal stretched over 43”. Looks crazy! :)

Isn't it a 32" LG? I've got the 32" LG and a 27" Asus with an IPS panel, the Asus is pretty and stylish, but 144Hz hmmm.

For code development work a widescreen might be a better option than a 4k, design work would benefit from a 4k.

For dev work and 32", go 4K with 100% scaling.

I personally wouldn't go with Evetech, you can read up on them on MyBB and carbonite.

Also, that monitor has a space saving design which means it will only be mounted at the back of the desk, and doesn't seem to support rotation.
It also doesn't have a VESA mount, so you are stuck with the mount that comes with it.

If you are OK with those issues, it's fine. I got myself some monitor arms after my screen, and will definitely recommend it to anyway. With that monitor you can't.

I own two of the Samsung C32JG50's. They are really fantastic value for the money. Especially buying from Takealot using e-bucks.

I wouldn’t buy from Evetech after reading that article, thanks for the advice on the monitor, confirmed no VESA, I was told it does have but the seller was clearly wrong.

My issue is text clarity, I’m afraid of buying it and it’s not as clear as the MacBook screen Retina display. I have become very used to the sharp display.
