Hi,

I am looking for a decent entry-level laptop and have come across these two at Makro at the same price (R4999) and similar specs.

The first is this one
DELL 15.6" Ci3 Laptop
Processor: Intel Ci3 - 2365M -1.4GHz
RAM: 6GB
Hard Drive: 500GB
Connectivity: bluetooth/LAN/WLAN
1 year warranty

The second is this one
ASUS 15.6" Ci3 Laptop
Processor: Intel Ci3 -327174
RAM:4GB
Hard drive :500GB
Connectivity: WLAN/LAN/bluetooth
1 year warranty

I don't do any gaming, nor do I require any high-end graphics. I normally just use Office and browse the Net.
Which of these two should I get or could you recommend something better in the same price range?

I'd probably go for the Asus at it has a 3rd Gen I3 Processor compared to the Dell which has a 2nd Gen processor.

Basic Office work and internet browsing will be fine with 4gb memory.

I don't think you would find any cheaper for an I3 Laptop.

you may not do any gaming on them but what graphic card is on either of them? a better graphics card always a good thing.
but the Asus has the better CPU so then the next thing is what else do they have, which looks better? does it come with accessories .
The Dell only has a 1 year warranty? really thought they at least 3yr. try looking at a Samsung then their warranty is at least 2yrs

Bro picked up the Dell with I3 mobile. The mobile I3 processors are not that fast. I've got an I3 mobile processor on my work computer as well.

Look for a laptop with at least one USB 3.0. Alternatively eSATA.

Thank you to all of you for the input.
I purchased the Asus and it seems lovely.
It has one USB 3.0 port.
