Looks like the euro model covers all our local bands, even telkoms lte tdd on band 40.

There is a wiki page that lists all the bands used by provider's in sa.

... US of A model will not work on LTE here.

The Northern American version works fine with CellC 's LTE network but rather stay safe and buy the Global version or Chinese version that supports more LTE bands. You don't sound like an enthusiast therefor please don't go for the US of A model (A3000). Stay safe now, ya hear?
