The MK party surprised me most but I think it's support is a flash in the pan. Zuma is old and getting more feeble by the day. Once he disappears from the scene, I believe MK will disappear. In fact, I think the EFF will last much longer than MK.

But all this is true if the ANC forms a coalition with the DA. If MK gets to be part of a governing coalition, it will survive beyond Zuma.

Zuma could be leaving a lot sooner

Jabulani Khumalo wants Jacob Zuma removed as MK Party leader

uMkhonto weSizwe (MK Party) founder, Jabulani Khumalo, will head to the Electoral Court on Monday in his fight to have Jacob Zuma removed as the party's leader.

He hopes that the court will declare Zuma's move to the party's leadership as invalid and wants the court to compel the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) to register him as the party's leader, adding that Zuma was ‘fraudulently’ occupying the position.

Khumalo, who founded the MK Party in December last year, was then ousted from the party in April. Khumalo was expelled alongside Ray Khumalo, Bheki Manzini, Lebo Moepeng and Rochelle Davidson.
If the court rules in Khumalo’s favour, this will be another blow to the country’s former president who on Monday was told he cannot stand as a Member of Parliament (MP).

The IEC confirmed that it has received a letter from Khumalo.

“The Commission reiterates its stance that it does not involve itself in internal affairs of political parties.

I wonder if Victoria Nuland is going to ask the EFF for some payback, since their enormous rallies didn't amount to much?

I do not want these clowns at parliament joining the EFF in a circus disrupting our state of the nation speeches.
MK and the EFF will only join when Malema kisses uBaba's ring.

Zuma won't forget how the EFF went out of their way to disrupt and disrespect parliament during his presidency.

Another shock was the VF+/FF+ national total, almost half. Who did the Afrikaans peeps vote for then, or did they stay away?

Hey Karou Charou who I'd never heard of till a few weeks ago did better than that other Zulu nationalist in KZN!

No not uBaba. That other one
Oh please. Wouldn't be surprised if that's you.

I am very surprised how close the elections was to the polls. Was an observer and had to visit a few stations and in a sense was wondering how "fair" the elections was. Seeing the results I reckon it was close enough. Lots of people left the queues and never return, Voters was suddenly not on voter's list, but only appear when verifying via a political party's roll or SMS. VD machines not working and some of the officials have no clue what was going on and throwing valid votes out. And even verifying the results today compared to what party agents signed for and there is still mistakes.

They got scared away from the DA last time cos a black guy was in charge. They got a white guy with an afrikaans surname to vote for now so they came back.
