Not sure if I want to laugh at this or like it, but I kinda wanna agree.Johann Rupert obviously ! If Trump can do it for America. Rupert can do it for Africa!
I don’t think he is interested in the job. He has far too much actual work to do, and does more than any president since Mandela has done to improve the lives of average South Africans as it is. Honestly, I don’t think he would be a particularly good president either, just not the personality for it. His father would have been, but he also had little interest in politics in his later years.Johann Rupert obviously ! If Trump can do it for America. Rupert can do it for Africa!
Also not interested. I also don’t think he really considered himself South African at heart. Definitely not a patriot, plus he is certifiably insane. brilliant too, but way too cold and lacking in self awareness to be a good president for South Africa’s needs.Elon Musk!
Now there is a prime candidate. Unfortunately, the ANC and therefore the bulk of black voters look at him with even more disdain than they do his big brother Thabo. But I would get behind any party headed by him if it were ever to happen. Unfortunately Populist politics in South Africa seems very distrusting of highly educated, stoic, deeply Christian “cleva blacks”.Moeletsi Mbeki.
Show me where in the OP do they ask for names that are only interested?I don’t think he is interested in the job. I would say another great candidate would be Tony Leon - but that will also never happen.
