Which ROUTER is best for Telkom Home unlimited ADSL package?

Hi

My line is being installed on monday, 13 Nov, and I need to buy a router.

What is the best option? and where can I buy it?

My Telkom package is the Home Unlimited 10Mbps, uncapped ADSL line.

I picked up a TP-Link TP-W8960N for my slightly noisy line. It's very stable and works quite well. I can sync at 20Mb on my line with no problems, but I need to replace the telephone I have at home because that's the source of the noise.

I have an Asus DSL-N55U. Works very well, but I'm not using it at the moment since I upgraded to Rain.

I might be persuaded to sell it if you are conveniently located...

Hi Anneri2017. Why in the world would you want to buy a router if Telkom gives you one for free? A router is gonna cost you anything from R499 to R1899. Telkom gave me a HUAWEI router, for free, it works like a charm.

Sign the 2 year contract with Telkom and get a router free. You won’t be sorry. Telkom’s ADSL is the best.

Do not sign a 24 month contract. Rather buy one for less than R500 and have the freedom to cancel if you want to.

You still have the option to cancel, all you need do is repay the modem (pro rata).

Got the same line maybe i am just lucky ...but i got a cheap mweb modem.
My 10 meg line speed is between 8-9.87 megs

@raeesdawood What do your modem stats look like? Is Vdsl2 much more expensive than the old ADSL2+ ? Why did you decide for the ADSL and not VDSL?

Simply because it was the only product available in my area....i dont know how much more expensive is VDSL2
