Which Router?

I am applying for ADSL now and am stuck with the question: Which router to get?

I am running a network at home linking to a 10mb 3COM hub. I am using 6 port on the hub currently. I want to upgrade to a switch, but see that the ADSL routers only have 4 ports. Any suggestions?

I assume the free Telkom router on the 24 months contract is not worth going for

Please help

I have been using the following ADSL routers so far:

1. The original ALCATEL ADSL modem, which used to be very stable, cost me a fortune.
2. It got hit by lighting because when I moved premises, Telkom's technicians forgot to connect it to the surge protector. They gave me a loan model equal to these white ADSL ethernet models from Telkom.
3. Today I bought an ADSL Router made by CHRONOS, and all of a sudden my download speeds are consistent to between 48Kb/s and 57Kb/s
and this without my download manager.

Can someone please explain this to me? I have never been able to get these results without a download manager using the Telkom ADSL modem. I have managed these download speeds with the ALCATEL modem as well.
