Euro, we all are there. It has the most other people on at the same time we are playing, since the time zones are about the same.

We were getting a lot of lag last night on the Euro server, but none on the US server. Is this normal? or were we just unlucky last night?

I noticed a few peeps talkin 'gibberish' last night and thought it odd, then someone pipes up "Po ablo Espaniol?" I thought how rude, go find your own server!

Played a mission all English, no prob. get back to town, same story, WTF. I look up (hadn't bothered to check before) Doh, I'd been ATB'd onto the EU-Spanish server for some reason  .

They very rarely have lag on the system. What I find to be mostly the problem is our internet connections. It is just so crap, so I would blame the lag on that. :(
You can quite often find this out if you are in a team with other players and they are still online, and you and others from SA are not.

The language thing is really not uncommon. :)
You probably joined a team where the leader was Spanish but he was in English where you joined and he traveled to the Spanish dist before you started the mission and when it ended, this is where you arrived, or his 'home' is the Spanish dist. The guys probably just spoke English, cause it is the common language, but is actually Spanish.
There are a lot of them around but the Spanish dist is not very popular for PUG's.

ATI, you should join euro in any case. The GW servers will in any case assign you instance where the group overall has the lowest lag, so for all you know you might be running a specific mission on a US server even if you are playing euro. Euro is just better for finding groups and also tend to have favour at the times we play. We are at the end of the month, so the usual ADSL leeching by the big downloaders is also a problem, causing more lag for us gamers.

If the leader is Spanish, then when the mission ends you will be in a Spanish district, even if the mission was started in an English district. The game simply takes the group to the home district of the party leader when the mission ends, whatever that may be. I agree it can be a bit of a surprise when one ends up in a district where one does not understand what the people are saying.

I thought I always do. :D Even through as far as I know the district where the mission started has no effect. It is purely linked to the party leader's home district where you end up after a mission.
