Hi all

So I recently got a ROCCAT Kave and I am getting a lot of white noise/hissing from it when I connect the one USB cable to my Pc. Now my old/current headset uses two USB ports and also has this white noise/hissing sound but it's bearable, always has been.

There is a lot of people who have this problem but so far 0 fixes for it.

Question is how can I get rid of this hissing noise? I was thinking that getting a USB hub that connects directly to the wall/power adapter might do the trick, thoughts?

Something like this: ARCTIC POWER Charger PRO 4, Universal 4 port USB charger, US, UK and EU Intercha

I got rid of the Kave and went back to my old headset and switched to the 3.5mm jacks which solved the problem.

Does the problem exist if you use say the rear USB ports instead of the front one?

The USB signal is digital so the hiss cannot be introduced there.

It be noise induced on the USB power signals of the USB port which is then amplified by the headset circuitry resulting in hiss. Hence my first question.

Either way it's a crap design if this is happening.

i used the front ports back port

i got 14 usb ports total in my pc and everyone make a noise (4x2.0/2x3.0 front) 4x3.0 back and 4x2.0 back

pluged it into my xbox and it still happens

so its probably the headset

Due to bad design... the hiss is likely due to a badly designed power regulator in the device.
