So, is there enough white people working there, to cause an disruption?

Also, the title seems a bit racist, should've read "Solidarity goes on strike" :)

Of course there are enough white people there to cause a disruption, contrary to the popular narrative about AA candidates taking all the jobs.

Solidarity have other races as members. Maybe they should have said white solidarity members.

Inja one, inja ho, in the spirit of solidarity those non white members are expected to rally behind their comrades to fight this, I wonder how many will be prepared to lose wages over this.

At times I swear I am very close to understanding what Chicken is saying but before I know it I am lost again, I suspect it has domething to do with my African IQ, you bright sparks understand what he is saying?

I'm 100% convinced that not even the chicken knows what he is saying.

Human capital taking the front seat to what now? Dude is seriously off his meds or have a bad reaction to something.

"Solidarity believes that all South Africans should be exempted from affirmative action and other discriminatory economic practices."

So, are they striking for Sasol to abolish affirmative action and BBBEE?

Anyone advocating Venezuela as model to follow should go live there for a year as a normal citizen.

Does Solidarity subscribe to inja one principles?

Good question. They have never gone on strike at my employer in all the years i've worked there, so i've never had tine to observe their principles in action, maybe Solidariteit members can clarify, and it's 'injury to one is an injury to all' if anyone is confused.

This is the most ridiculous nonsense people keep on repeating. SASOLs licence to opperate isn't at risk and will never be. It doesn't matter if they have 0 black shareholders.

Same with the major banks and most mines. They are to big to fail.

This thinking didn’t work too well for MTN in Nigeria.

They can also get massive fines until they become compliant, it costs them less to respect the charter.

I've seen them go on strike at my ex employer. They even addressed members in a joint meeting. Numsa was on strike and they elected to make verbal agreements with employer, worked their butts off and only git paid normal rates at the end of the week.

They walked out and collaborated with Numsa...

Because Venezuela has BEE? That’s news to me.

Are you deliberately being obtuse or just being plain dumb?

My post had nothing to do with BEE and everything to do with the chickens comments about Venezuela, Niq and some other failed shithole that he holds up as examples. Plus the general feeling by the anc that Ven is a shining example of what we should be doing. For someone who is prolific in this forum you seem to struggle to follow a simple train of thought through these threads.

The next strike will be from other unions to denounce the extravagant number of whites at Sasol and request more empowered employees.

My advice for MTN would be the same. They should just tell the Nigerian government to fsckoff and continue opperateing as if nothing happened. The problem is that they entertain greedy government officials.
