No man
That's racist

I was on black card and downgraded myself to Gold again

I dig gold
People in shopping queues think you're duk poor and give extra social distance, it's awesome
Also nobody is trying to follow you to your car, cos it's probably some piece of junk...

They'd rather chase down a nice 'PC' card user

Exactly
I was one of those chops in the queue
I would stand there with my black card already out in my hand checking out all the other plebs in the queues trying to see what colour their cards are

Then I realised that for 500 odd bux a month in account fees for cheque and credit it isnt worth it. I mean eBucks pays back and covers it but I just felt it isnt right forking out 6 grand a year back to the bank, so I downgraded back to Gold and monthly account fees are less than what I get back in eBucks so Win Win

You came here just to announce proudly to everyone you left FNB, didn't you :sneaky:

I can one up you..also haven't received my FNB card, because I've never been a client :sneaky::sneaky:
A few years ago already, to be fair. Just received a replacement card from my new bank recently, so it's been a good 3 years?

Will my Easy account card stay gold? Would like easier visual separation from my Capitec card to stay.

  • FNB is 'retiring' its gold value bundle for middle-income earners.
  • In its place will come the new Aspire accounts, which offer a black card.
  • FNB also announced fee changes on Tuesday, including 50% off on monthly banking fees for spouses and partners.

FNB is replacing its gold value bank account bundle with a rebranded offering and a swanky black card for middle-income customers - as it competes with peers to claim a bigger market share of this segment.

The FirstRand-owned bank announced its 2021 fees on Tuesday, while at the same time unveiling a new value proposition for the middle income group, one of the biggest customer segments for banks.

As part of this push, its gold value bundle was "retired". In its place comes the new FNB Aspire package – which is also R10 cheaper than the current gold value bundle monthly fee of R109. It will be available from July.

Also going black...

All black, each type of account has a different colour writing/halo logo.

Looks good online for the most part, as in design.

You can also see it if you are on the app. Go to transfers, and the pic will pop up

Can I downgrade from stupid black? I don't want to pay the fees.
When I looked at gold it implies I earn too much to apply for one?

Nothing will change for you except the color if you get a new one. The fees might even become lower.

Call and ask to be downgraded.
It's your money at the end of the day...

I've done this. From Premier to Gold.

That's right! European banks are innovating on a whole new level. Pickpockets around the world are hailing this as the greatest advancement in modern banking in the last 20 years!
