I didn't. Still got the old design even though it was delivered about 3 weeks ago. My app does show the new design however.

Nope. And don't care. I use my FNB card once a week at Checkers. Everything else on Apple Pay via Discovery Bank.
Because you like Apple Pay or you like Discovery Bank?

Both my cheque and CC cards are up for renewal. So I should get one of these new fangled designs

I'm actually thinking of spray painting mine - graffiti style. Just put some tape over the chip and mag.

I look poorer than most of you. The platinum business banking cards look like the old silver cheque cards

Tbh, like the differences in gray shades of credit and debit for Premiere more, going black makes it more difficult to tell which card is being used at a glance when using FNB pay.

Have to tell the difference by the small piece of color right at the top, or have to actually read the text, is a bit annoying.

Cards only expire 2023, so will probably never get the new cards before I close my account.

FNB killed the card for me today.
They allowed me to use OTP to change my bank limit. All the merchants around me accept tapping.
The physical card is dead. Long live the card.

The card unfortunately isn't quite dead yet. I try to use the NFC chip on my phone as often as I can to tap and pay, but there are still quite a lot of merchants out there with card machines that don't play nicely with NFC chips on phones.

What will you tap if your phone dies and you want to buy another phone asap? Your dead phone?

Not around here. Local market and liquor store is still chip and pin.
