I'm with tau1z... sport and feet are not always the best mix!

I only wear closed shoes to work or more formal occasions. At home I'm always barefoot... anywhere else and it's sandals.

This similar to what happened to me 2 weeks ago... used a pair of pliers to rip it off after it was stuck on the last little piece!!!

Nothing wrong with that imo. I can't do the thingy between-your-toes slops though. They don't work for me.

Something similar happened to my daughter two years ago. I cried with her - it seemed horrifically painful.

I did the damage in mid-October... the roots of the old nail were bust but the nail was still held quite firmly in place - until just before Christmas!!

Why are you torturing us MickeyMoose.....WHY?????????

/GRILS

I watched as my dad pulled out my grandmothers toe nail. It was grown in so badly he had to take her to his pratice to pull it off. Even with local anesthetic she was crying like a baby! I am still metally scarred from that day!

wussies!!

When I still played pretty competitive cricket, I would lose the big toenail every season - without fail. Even cutting a hole in the front of the boot to relieve the pressure did not help!

Rather cut your feet to avoid those accidents

During some week long squash/football tournaments, we would drain the blisters on our feet, then inject benzoin (or similar) into the area after being dried.
Works like a charm, but you get stuck with some ugly ass looking feet.

My Pommie feet are as soft as a proverbial baby's backside, whereas my wife's boertrekker feet could walk on coals.
