Most South Africans must brace themselves for at least another 10 days of intense load shedding, but in Bryntirion Estate the lights will stay on. This is the small suburb where the official residences of the president, his deputy and many ministers are situated. This even though the national standard that regulates load shedding – known as NRS 048-9 – makes no provision for the exemption of politicians’ homes at any stages of load shedding.

Apart from stating that it adheres to the standard, the City of Tshwane refused to answer questions about properties it exempts from load shedding, citing national security and contractual agreements with customers.

Simple, that means Bryntirion has around 10 years of load shedding to catch up on, may as well just switch them off now for the rest of the year.

But it is shyte like this that helps our politicians live in a fscking bubble where they have no idea how their retarded shyte impacts the average citizen.

We had load shedding for the past 2 months because the pump station had no generator. Sad thing is that they installing the generator, it's back to reality soon

The solution to fixing Eskom is to loadshed politicians, and ban them from having any backup power solutions.

I would have no problem with that, at least in government provided accomodation...

They can go wild in their own property so long as its not funded by government.

If they are going to loadshed some honorable guy, then we will have to pay for his solar plant or genny and the diesel.
Zoempies house also get not switch off because the pumps must make sure the firepool is always full.

They have to entertain their fellow criminals and swap war stories. I mean after all, you want to see the reaction on the other persons face when you tell them how much you have managed to embezzle this month and this is impossible in the dark!
