WHO Warns South Africa to Brace For Covid-19 Surge After Riots

South Africa should prepare itself for a surge in coronavirus cases after days of widespread rioting and looting in the two most populous provinces, the World Health Organization’s Africa director said.

The deadliest and most widespread unrest since the end of apartheid followed the imprisonment of former President Jacob Zuma on July 7.

Excellent, Looters must die
If it was only looters, I think we'd all 'rejoice'. Sadly, these cretins will infect many other innocent folk around them ... not to mention the healthcare system that is already stretched and fatigued. There ought to be a better way to rid society of this pond-scum.

Giving the conditions in which these people live, the proximity, it will essentially be a COVID cloud with people moving in and out every day. All public transport which serves these areas will now be a COVID vehicle.

More WHO FUD.

I highly doubt it will cause a spike. Looting a shop doesn't logically carry any greater risk of transmission than travelling packed into a taxi, or queuing en masse at the SASSA office, etc, etc.

I wonder how much this will (eventually) effect voting numbers, but nothing importing votes can fix.

Remember though, according to science, a mass protest against "racism" doesn't carry any risk for covid.
The World Health Organization chief on Monday encouraged those protesting against racism around the world to do so safely, including keeping a safe distance from others, cleaning hands, covering coughs, and wearing masks if at protests.

WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at the thrice-weekly video press conference that the organization “fully supports” equality and the global movement against racism.

Around 1%, according to Covid stats will die eventually. So, it won't affect them too much at the polls at the end of the day.

The WHO is not a recognized organization. It is mainly being used by socialist and communist countries like China, Russia, Cuba, South Africa and the United States of America to push their global agendas. Most Western countries do not even care what the World Health Organization has to say since Covid broke out. Most Western countries are functioning without the WHO.
