Who's good at Perl or Python

Looking for a script that can pull the usage page/values of the MWEB user page and extract the Standard and Nightime usage numbers.
Will be execute at 6am so that this night time value can be deducted from the total for the day, thus giving me the normal usage for the day.

More seriously, why don't you learn a tiny bit of Python and write it yourself?

As a start you could use Selenium (an automated web test system) to read the values; then export that as Python code.

Then all you really need is the Cron job and a little logic for working out the normal usage.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "MWEB user page" - is this your password protected user page? Selenium can be used to input your username and password and establish a session but I'm not sure that is wise....

Yup, the funny thing is the suggestions were decent. It had me googling away too

the fact that I know this can be done with either Python or Perl, does that make you think I might have some sort of background in development.

Fact is I've been out of coding for 15 odd years, my current workload/hours is just not of that nature for me to go relearn whats needed to do this, asking for help, from someone that knows these languages back ward, for whom it might take 5 min to write this, instead you view is "go read the manual yourself and do it yourself" Know what, if I had the time to do that, I would not have asked,

if someone was willing to do this... there are quite a couple of us on MWEB that can find this script useful.

if your view of being helpful is instructions on how to do it yourself, when you lying on the floor, legs broken, and someone and you ask for help, don't cry when someone says, help yourself,

To be fair - if you re-read your original post you never explicitly stated that you wanted someone to do the work for you.

It does come across as more asking for ideas about how to accomplish the task.

Just reread my OP and can't see how it came across as anything other than me looking for a script,

But guess my fault for asking for a script, for someone with some time on their hands and the skill to write something like this for me quickly.

Ok so let me state this : I'm looking for someone with the skill and time to write something, with not to much effort that can pull the Usage page for a user from MWEB, parse it and output, append the output as a new line to a text file the date, value 1, value 2
value1: Standard usage
value2: Nightime usage

These 2 numbers, in combination with the total daily will allow me to have my normal usage and night time usage by day, instead of just one number (summed) for both.
