I agree with the article.
Typical!
I agree with the article.
Newsflash newsflash - I never said it would happen overnight. Even you just went from 'forever' (ie never) to '25 years'.In your, never to be fulfilled, dreams! The status quo will be here forever!
You mean like Zimbabwe or Angola? Like Europe, USA... Never. No real democracy here at least not for the next 25 Years!
Anyway - enjoy the view from your perch of mediocrity.
Why thank you.I will. Thanks. It's looks better here than on your perch of anarchy.

Everywhere else how? Everywhere in Africa there is a very well supported (often tinpot) leader across from a not so well supported one. In Sub Saharan Africa race is distinguishable particular with skin colour, but in central and Northern Africa the racial distinction is based heavily on tribalism and religion. In Africa, democracy is a front. How many elections were 100% free and fair in Africa (and by that I mean how many African elections were marred by violence?)I doubt it - eventually the disillusionment will lead to splintering and then to a more viable opposition where people no longer vote on racial lines but on political ideology. IOW SA will become just like everywhere else.
Two things - firstly doesn't bwana live in South Africa? Therefore he should have a better perspective than youJust ignore bwana.
He is an American who seems to think that all of Africa is a bastion of democracy and safety for all people and where all will eventually come to see that America is the way to go and when it doesn't work out the way he hopes, he still has his passport ready to go.
Sounds like Vietnam and Iraq when all those Americans were making big promises and when the k*k hit the fan they ran back(and they will run in the case of Iraq) to the US and left all to suffer from their democratic interference.

And secondly - are you sure you want to keep living in America with that government of yours? At least ours doesn't torture people and take away their basic rights![]()

Erm, dude, if you want to attack the guy, maybe you should note that Canada and America are two completely different countries.
I have met a LOT of Americans and one thing I can tell you from experience is that they think they are right ALL the time. Might makes Right.
He may live in SA but he is American with all the baggage good and bad.
Thirdly I live in Canada. Please explain where Canada tortures and takes away basic rights.
Don't be a moron.
...they ran back

Dude I don't care where YOU were born, you are not a South African. I don't understand your obsession with this country. You turned your back on it years ago. How boring is your country that you spend so much spare time obsessing over a foreign countries politics?
Nick333,
Sometimes you come out with some real zingers. For example, by your reasoning, someone who was born in Ireland and lives in Zimbabwe is not Irish? Or someone born in Nigeria who lives in England in not Nigerian.
And if you were really clever you would have used an American living in SA as an example. What I mean is I personally don't care where you were born. You lost you right to sit in judgement of what happens here long ago. You've never been a citizen of the new SA. Thats what I think of you.
Edit: I don't really give a **** what your motivations are.
Angelo, you copied that from the editorial."Sunday World is a young, feisty, exciting and unrelenting weekly newspaper. With a team of top journalists who speak the language of the people in the street as well as those on the corridors of power."
That's better, at least it came from you, but lets face it, you aint cut out for the debating society.I agree with the article.

I guess I wasnt clear. What I was referring to initially was the breakdown of bipartisan politics based solely on colour.Everywhere else how? Everywhere in Africa there is a very well supported (often tinpot) leader across from a not so well supported one.
