Why am I not getting calls from Adwords Express ad ?

I have a Google Adwords express account. The 1st i did was for R600 and i never got any calls and yet i got like 7 000 views and around 40 clicks. Turns out i had not put my number so people could not call me instantly. The 2nd Ad is for R400 and i have put my number so that people tap on it on their smartphones and get through to me but still no calls. The dashboard says i have 22 call clicks but i have not received any phone calls from any platforms i advertise with. I wanted to do the verified calls thing but the number will now show when i click "See how your Ad will appear" just Xs after the +27.

Call clicks don't necessarily translate into placing the call. All it does is input the number on your phone dialer.

Also, I highly recommend NOT using Adwords Express as you have far too little control over your ad spend. PM me if you need help with AdWords :)
