Why are black South Africans trying to reclaim land that doesn't belong to them?

I've not insulted anyone, just brought up some things that happened in the past, seeing as the past tends to repeat itself I reasonably expect it to happen again.

EDIT: Upbringing was mostly neutral.
Nuances clearly don't matter in your world. What with your big brush and the broad strokes you can paint.

There's something unique about this country. Locals truly believe they are entitled to land and free **** cos of past injustices. Even those who were born after 1990.

Our government claims to be non-racial, yet they go racial and racist at each and every opportunity.
Can't have that and a populace that doesn't do the same. Maybe it's time to wear big boy shoes and rise above the apartheid government.
Take some responsibility and stop chasing the emotional easy votes.

Actually the op himself seems to love dealing in the same broad strokes. Anecdotal evidence says most black people aren't interested or feel entitled to any land or other people's land. They just want to improve their lot, live and die without too much suffering. It is the unfortunate few loudmouths that seem to have elected themselves representative and speakers for the (dead) rest. Much like the OP I suppose.

It is a very small percentage of black South Africans that are trying to reclaim land that doesn't belong to them. It just happens to be the official policy of an extremely corrupt political party called the ANC. A party that has a dismal record when it comes to success, honesty and integrity. It is part of the WMC narrative that they cling to in order to remain in power at any cost.

I've concluded that "the land" belongs to whomever is in power at that time.

Fighting for land is not a new notion e..g the mongols, ottomans, romans and later the english, dutch, spanish etc.
And even the natives took each others land.
If you look at the north american context, the crow fought the lakota fought the sioux fought the arikara etc.

It's a ridiculous notion to say we were here first.

We should also remember that some of the claims may be legitimate. These are people who got forcibly remove to make way for white only development because the past regime preferred their servants at arms length for various reasons including claiming land they wanted to use for agriculture and so forth. Whether those people's claims are legit in the sense of being first in the south of Africa is another story altogether.

Right, so what can we do about it?

Yes the small percentage of legitimate claims would have already been sorted under honest, transparent leadership that had not been too busy with its primary self-enrichment properties. Unfortunately we now have to watch as a political party which has proven itself to be corrupt to its very core stirs further racial disunity in its desperate attempt to remain in power at all costs.

In South Africa a lot of people believe in getting everything for free. It's so bad that 65% of our people sit on social wellfare and complain why some services are not provided free. Now for the land, its not the land they want (some may) but it's the free housing that now gives them wealth. A lot will end up just selling it. Some are even demanding that the government must build them 2.5 million rand houses free. (District Six).

But yes, most of Cape Town or the Western Cape was under previous Khoisan rule, but never under the other tribes that now claim they want the land. They merely want it free as a tradeable asset.

However in comes junk status, and this will affect many tax payers. in about 2000 or there about the prime lending rate was about 16%. A current bond of R1 million would cost you R9485 pm at the current rate. Expect to cough up an extra R5000 more at those rates. But then the average houseprice in the western cape is R3.5 million now. So well an extra R15k plus per month, is going to be a bitter pill for anyone to swallow, especially with the rand dropping and making everything more expensive too. Now credit cards everything shoots up. To compensate for loss of income the government will possibly have to push taxes by upto 60% even. Face it for what you get from your taxes (very little), you will suffer more. So most will sell what they have and move. Another 10-20% of the income tax payers gone and then a real disaster strikes. You can kiss it all goodbye. You will have Greece 101 and pensions gets slashed, and inflation running away.

Because the Europeans came and stole it before the Africans could start building transport systems and cities and stuff on it.

Yeah they needed just another 4000 years to finished construction of their first double story house, all they needed.

Ah the old benevolent tyrant argument. Like coffee in the morning. Not going to repeat the molesting uncle paraphrase here I think.

You'll grow up some day to learn that the world isn't as black and white as you perceive it through your distorted lenses

You are aware that none of what you just said does anything more than whine, why not instead try to invalidate my statement?

Not worth it, you're too close minded. That's why I am so dismayed because you're young and already hold to such fervent beliefs. You're like a zealot, no convincing the like.

Hands up all those who got what you have for free!
I know that everything I own I worked damned hard for over 40 years the get. I do not get any financial assistance from the State and the stuff I do benefit from is paid for from my taxes even though I am a pensioner.

Do you actually believe this or just posting garbage for a reaction? Something to jerk off to later I'm guessing.
You believe whites are being segregated?
In South Africa?
In the present times?
I fail to see how any of the apartheid strategies or policies from the past regime are currently present and at play against whites in the country as it stands today.

Your views do make for some good chuckling though :)

IMO the OP's question has much relevance. The land isn't the blacks to claim as theirs. Blacks were just as much invaders as whites.

So much for this goddamn rainbow nation. What a delusional notion.
Wow you come across as an angry little man....
