Just wondering... have had a few occurrences over the past couple of months where people admitted they're afraid of me and I can't for the life of me think why. Some of these people I've known for over 5 years. I mostly joke, I never talk about work to them unless they specifically ask something etc

Can't think of any moment I just lost it and threaten them with violence or something? I'm not like that IRL, on here I'll burn your house down if your cat even thinks of the color purple.... but yea...

Has any of you found out that people are afraid of you (or any other perception they might have which is the total opposite you'd like them to have)? What was it? How'd you handle it?

The fact that you posted this, means that it bothers you. So perhaps you need to do some serious introspection and try to narrow the gap between your perceptions of self and what other people think about you.

I think you're confusing bipolar with many MANY other things. Bipolar (if you didn't know) means you're very happy one moment and very sad the other, almost like a flick of a switch.

But yes, I'm having loads of fun on this account while I'm more...well... boring on the other since I like being controversial and playing devils advocate on this one.

I love it. In the IRC days I would proxy my one account through a US server and join the same channel under a different name and say something n00b like "where do I download MSN Messenger" or "How does the internet work" and I'll start insulting myself for being a n00b.

Then someone else will chime in and say I should lay off (of myself) and treat them nice, so I go (as the other person) "Naw it's okay, he's probably retarded, I think they're cute" and everyone would laugh at this "n00b" and this "douche" who made fun of him.

The real fun starts when I join a 3rd time....

Ah man, I laughed and laughed and laughed...... was so much fun seeing different people side with other people that are actually the same person and then get kicked out or banned because they got mad.
