Although Eskom have warned about the load shedding and the we are all know it is going to happen. What annoys people is the fact that Eskom cannot even do that correctly by sticking to schedules or the fact that you get load shed. The power comes back on and obviously something at the sub station packs in and you sit in the dark for an extra 3 hours over the above 4 and a half hours schedule (happened to me about two weeks ago).
If Eskom tried to ease the problems that they are causing most consumers would probably be annoyed but happier. For example Eskom know where they are going to load shed so why don't they get a contract with outsurance for their traffic staff to be in those areas at those times to ease congestion and do small things like that. Instead they just warn you that you "may" have load shedding.
They should be able to tell you directly you are or are not going to have power.
It is the same as those fcking stupid signs on the road where it tells you potholes, they may warn me and I may try my best to avoid them but sometimes I cannot avoid and I hit one and I will bitch and moan like a banshee. Why put warning signs up when they could just go out and fix the road.
