Why doesnt my Card not have an expiry

I got my Visa electron card from Absa a while a go probably like 2 years ago an its still working i bought stuff at a store yesterday an i was just wondering why is doesnt have one because other peoples cards have a expiry dates

Credit cards have expiry dates.
Debit cards don't.

Only Debit Cards with Chips on have expiry dates. Visa Electron cards does not have chips on.

so why are some people able to buy with a visa electron if it doesn't have like in the UK

So cards created before chip technology was implemented didn't have expiry dates?

My absa debit card also has an expiry with no chip.

Mines a visa electron with the expiry on
