What about the Foton Tunland?
Can be had for about 220k in 4x2 double cab, 2.8 diesel.
Guy I know living close by has nothing but praise for is Tunland, don't have any experience with them myself though. From my understanding it's a 2.8 Cummins turbo diesel motor so it should last just about forever.

Mitsubishi will never make a car as horrible as that. It was so bad that when CAR tested it their testers emerged with nasty cuts and injuries.

The Renault/Dacia Duster double cab is coming, might be more the OPs style...
I really hope that Renault bring it here, it should sell really well. A double cab for R200 000 to R250 000 should be great. They could even call it the Nissan NP250 if people are scared of having a Renault badge on their bakkie.
